Barwon Water Visit

The year 1s had a great time learning with Fernando from Barwon Water.

Fernando read the students a story called 'A day in the life of Sally and Tom'. It told the story of them walking to school and the different ways littering can happen without even noticing!

Each student had a turn at adding something to our clean lake. Band aids, apple sticker, mud, apple core, drink bottle, grass cuttings, muesli bar and wrapper. The result was devastating!

Serendip Multi-media Program

The year 1s had a wonderful time at Serendip. We did the Sanctuary walk and took photos using the iPads.

We used the iPads to make an audio book. We had a visit from Ranger Vanessa who spoke to us about the Serendip rules.

We enjoyed ponding, collecting the invertebrates and looking at them under the digital microscope.

We loved playing at lunchtime building huts, playing tag and building little habitats.

On our last day we all went to Serendip together. We made damper with Mr Eley and Ranger Matt got Monty the python out of his enclosure.

Mini Mudder

The students had a ball!

The day was a huge success!

Everyone got down and dirty, oh and colourful too!

Responsible Pet Ownership Program

The students enjoyed their visit from Deb and Storm. They learnt what to do when approached by an angry dog and how to ask a stranger if they could pat their dog. Storm was a gentle giant, who was bigger than some of the students!
